January 2007 TALULAH G BOUTIQUES By Leah JayasankerThe Trendiest In Las Vegas One of the fastest growing cities in the United States is Las Vegas, Nevada. Known as sin city, where winning and loosing money is habitual, it also serves as a mecca for upscale jewelry, clothing and car boutiques. If you mention Las Vegas and shopping to a fashion-forward gal, immediately they’ll respond with Talulah G. As a newbie to the Vegas scene, I realized a meeting with Meital Grantz, founder of the Talulah G Boutique is a must. In 2001 Grantz recognized a need for a boutique in Las Vegas that catered to ladies in search of trendy clothing and accessories, so she opened Talulah G off of Las Vegas Boulevard. Soon thereafter Vegas expanded so Grantz met the demand by opening two additional stores within the city limits and one in Fashion Island in Newport Beach, California. In the world of retail, stores come and go, yet Grantz’s philosophy of delivering high fashion collections mixed with simple basics, with a commitment to providing superb customer service, has enabled her continued success. “Our product mix is paramount, we really capture the essence of a true boutique—we carry a lot of different designers not available in Vegas or the west coast alongside fun and affordable items, like denim and costume jewels. What is lacking in the marketplace is a boutique atmosphere where personal service is highly regarded and readily available,” explains Grantz. Talulah G goes beyond the normal call of duty with their regular clientele. Grantz adds, “What we are known for from day one is our relationship between the sales person and the customer.” Talulah G stocks well-known labels like, Chloe, Zac Posen, Lanvin, Missoni, and Anna Sui. In addition to the first-rate brands, a slew of celebs consider Talulah G a shopping oasis when jet setting to Vegas—if it is hot for an A-lister than surely Grantz is ‘in the know’. The latest project for Talulah G opened in April 2006 with the Talulah G Resort store inside the Red Rock Casino, Resort & Spa. It is the first resort-style space, part of a partnership with upscale resorts and hotels around the globe. According to Grantz it was a natural progression to create a store that consisted of luxury necessities people would require while on vacation. “It is part luxury gift-shop combined with resort necessities like men’s and women’s swimsuits and flip flops.” What lies ahead for Grantz? Be on the look out for more Resort boutiques opening over the next four years throughout the United States and the Caribbean. |
